Like shopping?

Shopping is one of my pleasures. I like buying clothes, shoes, hats and so on, but I also like just looking at those goods around the shops without buying. I'm not so rich and I can't shop frequently, but when I do shop I am very happy and I feel my stress gets reduced, in a way.

The other day, I went shopping at Jazz-Dream Nagashima. As the Japanese may know, it is one of the biggest shopping malls in Japan and they sell clothes and other goods. This is one of my favorite places to go shopping! I bought a LEGO T-shirt and a skirt there. It's a little large for me to walk around in and my legs got muscular pain after wearing it...

My shopping habits are a bit strange, I think. I can't easily decide what to buy, so it takes me a long time to do my shopping. At first I don't buy anything and stroll through the shop, looking around, talking with my friends etc.. When I find a piece of clothing which I like, I keep it in my mind and continue looking for other nice pieces. At last I pick up some pieces to choose from, and then I decide which one to buy. It takes me much time and physical strength! But those are my basic habits... Some of my friends choose their clothes intuitively; I am envious!

After shopping I also enjoy thinking about the combination of the clothes I bought with the ones I've already got.

How do you enjoy your shopping? Are your shopping habits contrary or similar to mine? Or is there anyone who dislikes shopping? For me, shopping is lots of fun.

I was relieved to hear about your shopping habits because mine are rather similar to yours. For example, every time I go shopping with my family, I always get them to wait. I can't decide easily which clothes I am going to buy.

Today I went to SATY (a shopping center, as you know) to buy some clothes. I bought T-shirts and a pair of trousers.

Recently, the time I take for shopping has been improving. I don't spend so much time any more on choosing the clothes I want to buy because my mother told me to make up my mind more quickly. I reformed myself according to her wish.

I like shopping too. Tonight I went shopping at Jusco in Meiwa with my mother and bought gifts for Father's day next week. At first, we were going to buy a shirt for my father, but while we were going around, we found a nice tie and bought it.

I think looking at many things before buying someting prevents me from having to regret my shopping decisions. So I also need much time to choose the thing I like best. But it's enjoyable, isn't it?

Eri-san, your habit is not strange! I also need much time for my shopping. I usually look around the shops at first, and when I find something nice, I think about the combination with the clothes I already have at home. If the combination is good, I decide to buy it. I can, however, decide which one to buy, but not so often. It's like an intuition. I sometimes regret to have done intuitive shopping, but I'm satisfied with my purchases more or less.

I have been to the Jazz-Dream Nagashima once. It was large, as you said, and I felt that the number of restaurants were small for its size. What do you think about this point?

Thank you for your comments, Hiroko-san, Masami-san and Yukiko-san! I'm relieved that you all have similar habits as I do, more or less.

Hiroko-san -- I also sometimes go to SATY and buy some clothes. As you did, I bought a T-shirt in the shop on the second floor, I wonder if you also bought your T-shirt there... I think SATY sells good clothes at a low price, so I like it!

Masami-san -- I agree with you, It's enjoyable to choose the best thing from many goods. By the way, you reminded me of Father's day! I have to buy something which will make dad happy.

Yukiko-san -- I have never visited the restaurants there, but I think they should be large enough because it's a large shopping mall and a lot of people come, from children to older people.
