Soft Tennis with Five Guys
I played soft tennis on May 18th with the Noro brothers (Kazuya and Kyota), Shingo (50th), Hidetaka (51st) and Oka-chan (54th). We are all English Department students except Kyota, but he is taking courses at the department.
It was a sunny day. We played on the artificial turf courts at Mie University. Kyota (the younger Noro) and Oka-chan have some experience because they played the game when they were junior high students. Kazuya (the elder Noro) and Shingo once belonged to the soft tennis club at Mie university. Hidetaka is a beginner.
I was surprised that they were all very good at playing it; Kazuya plays carefully and never misses a ball. Shingo has good control. Oka-chan hits a ball as best he can. Kyota is very good at lobbing: to lob is to hit a ball in a throw high curve. I have to run from side to side. Hidetaka is a beginner, but he understands quickly. He was practicing strokes against a wall rather than actually playing the game. If he continues to practice, he will become a very good player!
I enjoyed playing very much. I would like to play more with English Department students. Does anyone want to?
Hidetaka-san and other guys, please post if you have any comment.
I want to see Ayumi-san play tennis.
As for me, I have never played it, but I want to try it sometime.
Thank you for your response, Masami-san and Kuniyuki-san. I have played soft tennis since I was 12 years old. I have a lot of friends in other prefectures, such as Gifu, Kanagawa, Osaka, Hokkaido, and so forth.
Kuniyuki-san, shall we play it someday if we have free time?
Hi. I'm an English teacher in Nabari. You are talking about a sport and I want you to know my students.
I am an adviser and observer of a handball club. Last weekend, my students had the biggest tournament this year for high school students in Mie prefecture. I had never seen them be so serious.
The first and the second game were easy for my students to win. The third one was, however, really hard. The team they fought against for the third game had won the game against the second strongest team in Mie. Before the game, I thought my students wouldn't stand a chance. Not only me but also others in the gym thought that way. But they did really well.
In the first half the score was 11 vs. 11!! It was amazing. Most people in the gym supported our team because they were moved by the students' energy and zeal. After the game, the players cried for vexation. It was the last game for the third-year players who are going to graduate from this high school next year, that is, retirement. They might feel sorry to part from the club activity.
Hey Wakako-san: welcome to Tawawa!
Yes, Ayumi-san. I would like to. I'm looking forward to playing it with you. Please tell me how to hit a ball then.
Kuniyuki san, let's play when we have free time. Now, you are very busy with teaching practice, aren't you? How about? You may have no time to read Tawawa...

You really like playing tennis, don't you? I think one of the reasons why you have so many friends is that playing tennis acquaints you with a lot of people. Therefore tennis is necessary in your life, isn't it? I am not good at playing any sports, so I envy you!
