Winter sports
There are several winter sports like skiing, snowbording, skating. But of all the winter sports, I like snowbording the best. I’m going to talk about snowbording.
Last March, I went snowbording for the first time. I couldn’t slide well at that time, but I wanted to go snowbording. It was the beginning. Winter was already over, so I could go snowbording only two times last season.
This year, I’m more addicted to snowbording. Last December, I bought snowboarding gear. I bought a snowboard, boots, binding (which is the metal part on a snowbord that I step on so that my boot fastens to the board), gloves, goggles and so on. I spent much money on these things. This season, I already went snowboarding five times, and I am going to go five times more. Of course, as I go snowboarding, I think I have gradually become a good snowboarder. For all the progress I have made, however, I still leave many things to be desired, and I want to become better than now.
Next winter, I have a plan to go to Hokkaido to go snowboarding with someone. It will be one year before I go to Hokkaido, but I’m looking forward to the trip.

A game I'm addicted to
When I was in first grade at junior high school, I made friends with a boy who loved sports cars very much. He played Gran Turismo 2 (version 2 of the game). He told me a lot of things about sports cars and the game. Then I became interested in them. He lent me the game, and I played it hard. I learned many things about cars from it.
The game was so real. The cars we could drive in the game were actual cars: Toyota, Honda, Nissan, Ford, Chevrolet, Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Jaguar, Peugeot and others. I learned the names of many cars.
I could set details of cars: engine, drive train, brake, suspension, tires and so on. I learned a few things about tuning cars. I could drive some real car through racing circuits and cities. I also learned some driving skills.
Now, I play Gran Turismo 4, which is the latest version. This is much better than Gran Turismo 2, especially about the graphics, the number of cars and courses, various functions, etc.. I can use more than 650 actual cars and drive on more than fifty courses in this game.
The reason that I like cars may be that I’m attracted to big, fast or strong things. I don’t know the reason why I’m attracted to them, but I think that big buildings, fast cars, strong combat planes and so on are cool. So I want to drive as fast as possible. This game makes it possible to do what is difficult to do in real life. This is why I’m addicted to it.
