Having fun with my friends
Usually I make a trip every summer because I like to travel. But this summer I didn’t have enough money to go anywhere.
Instead, I was meeting with my friends. I drank alcohol with them in a Japanese-style bar. I hadn’t liked alcohol but now I like it, especially cocktails. It felt like I would become an adult.
I enjoyed singing songs with my friends at the karaoke box all night long. This made me tired and sleepy. As a result, I lived an irregular life.
Also, I saw many movies. I have always liked foreign movies but I haven’t been interested in Japanese movies. One day, my high school friends forced me to go and see a Japanese movie. Then, I got addicted to it because it has flavors that foreign movies don’t have. Today, many books become movies, I felt like reading the original and started it. In fact, I had hated reading books. But now I like it. It helps me improve my Japanese.
Thus, during the summer vacation, I didn’t make any trips. But I was given good experiences by my friends, for which I am thankful.

During summer vacation, I enjoyed meeting some friends, too. I had a good time.
By the way, what movie did you watch? I’m interested in that movie. I want to watch it and to read that book, too.

I like movies from all nations, but some of my favorites are from Japan. I can’t describe why exactly, but they are different than movies from other countries. I’m always interested in hearing about good Japanese movies even though we have to wait to see them in the United States, if we get them at all.

Yuriko, I also like to watch the movies. So, did you watch ” Tim Burton’s Corpse Bride ” yet ? I’d like to watch this movie because I like the movies that are made by Tim Burton! If you watch this movie, please tell me how nice that is.
