Illumination at Nagoya station

Illumination at Nagoya station

Today I went to Nagoya station with a friend after the club. We had dinner and went to the front of the station to see the illumination. There were trees and statues decorated with shining lights, and there were many people, too.

Illumination at Nagoya station

I felt it is better than last year’s. This year’s illumination is so good! Everyone should see it.

Are you sure it’s that much different from last year’s illumination? I took a picture of it about a year ago, which unfortunately doesn’t show much of the illumination, but those seem to be the same trees.

By the way—I’m curious: who’s paying for this display? The city? The shops? The railways?

What beautiful pictures you took!!

I think this year’s illumination is more beautiful than last year’s too.

I want to see illumination with someone.

Please would you go to Nagoya station to see the illumination with me?

I’m waiting for good reply from you.

I really envy you. Iwant to see those illumination, too!!

By the way, those picture reminded me of Luminarie which is held in my hometown Kobe. This event began in 1995. In 1995 a big eartquake occured and about 6000 people died in this earthquake. Luminarie is put feeling to a victim.

This year Luminarie will be held from 12/8 till 12/22. If we have a chance, let’s go to Kobe seeing it.

Hi Shinnosuke,

I learned from you―”on cloud nine” means “extremely happy”―I didn’t know that. On Xmas day, I’m sure to eat a Xmas cake. I love cakes especially with fresh cream and strawberries. Mm…great!!

I am on cloud nine,too!! :-9

Hi Shinnosuke,

I was wondering how you celebrate X-mas in Japan. Is it a family party? Do you eat special food? Do you exchange gifts?

I think last year’s illumination is less gorgeous than this year’s one. Probably there were a few statues last year. But I think last year’s trees were more beautiful.

And I think JR may pay for the display. The towers are “JR Central Towers”.

Let’s go to see the illumination together! I want to see it again.

>Tomoya

I want to go to Luminarie. I’m happy to hear about Luminarie.

>Shinnosuke

I loved this illumination. Where I live (Sao Paulo – Brazil) we have beautiful lights around the city during xmas’ time as well…

I really enjoy walking around town at xmas! Don’t you?

Hi, Giovana

Yes, it’s very pleasant to walk around decorated town! Lights seem to be seen more clearly in winter. I think Xmas is joyful.
