Licenses
During summer vacation I went to driving school in Owase, which is my hometown, located in the south of Mie prefecture. I thought it was better to take the driver’s licence this year because I will be too busy next year.
I had never driven a car, so my first driving was highly exciting and dangerous. I could not understand how to switch gears, but I gradually got accustomed to driving and was looking forward to riding a car. That’s how I barely graduated from Owase driving school.
But I made a serious mistake. When I went to the licensing center in Takachaya to take the test for the license, I had my picture for the license card taken there. However, I should have taken off my cap earlier. Because of the cap, may was flat and strange, so on the picture I look like a timid offender.
Recently I’ve been thinking that I also want to get a driving license for motorcycles because I want to travel to Hokkaido by bicycle, going to the great sightseeing spots. But I can’t afford to buy one, and I will be too busy to get a license. So it is impossible to do while going to Mie University.

motorcycles are soo fun! If you get one (like me), and can afford a bike (unlike me), I’m sure you’ll have lots of fun :D

Never mind about the mugshot in your driver’s license; that’s just a fact of life. There’s probably a law somewhere that says photos in all official documents must look horrible.
Are you commuting by car now? I’ve noticed they’ve pulled down some old houses around the university and converted them into parking lots. Are many students driving to school? Are there any regulations about those new parking lots, such as a requirement to apply for them?
Oh—and congratulations on passing the test!

I think a tour on motorcycles is very good, too. Someday let’s go to Hokkaido!
