The language support issue should be solved now and you can post both entries and comments in Japanese to this weblog. Maybe somebody should do another test post to confirm this.

As for the request: I've managed to change the "Links" link in the navigation bar to katakana, now I would like to add some more Japanese to the interface. Would somebody please post translations of the following items:

上野動物園のパンダの糞（ふん）から、生ゴミを効率よく処理できる細菌が見つかった。北里大学の田口文章名誉教授（微生物学）らの研究によるもので、小麦の製粉時に出る皮のくず（ふすま）や、おからなど、これまでの生ゴミ処理機では分解しにくかった食品廃棄物も、その９５％以上を分解してしまう優れものだという。

タラバニ議長は１１日にキルクークを制圧した部隊に撤退を指示、同地がクルド勢力支配下になることを警戒するトルコのギュル外相も同日、「クルド兵の引き揚げ開始」を確認している。タラバニ議長は同テレビで「我々の任務は自分たちの土地を守り、侵略者（フセイン大統領）に抵抗することだ」とし、部隊の撤収方針を改めて示した。

Dear Students,

This weblog is for you to use in Japanese – if you want to. I will not supervise this area; it’s completely yours and you can turn it into whatever you want it to be. Remember, though, that this is a public space: whatever you write here can be read by anyone with a browser and an internet connection. Keep this in mind.

This weblog is named ‘Nihongo’, which is extremely lame and boring. Let me know if you have a better name for it and I’ll change it. I will also consider any other changes and modifications that you may suggest, just talk to me.
