Hi Pketh,
Did you manage to get through?
woohoo
I was having weird ass firewall problems (damn you to hell microsoft wifi router!)
but now that I’m in, sadly no one else is :)
You’re not the only one who’s had difficulties connecting to #Tawawa. Some universities and Internet Service Providers seem to block the ports typically used by IRC. The Web interface to the channel now uses a different port — maybe that solves a problem or two, maybe not.
I’m sorry there wasn’t anyone around when you entered the the channel; we haven’t quite reached the point yet when the place will be crowded twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week. =)
Meanwhile, I might modify the chat page so that it displays the nicknames of the people logged into the channel at any one time. I’ll have to look into that.
If you send me a valid e-mail address I can hook you up to the Tawawa mailing list so you can schedule a session with everyone. Deal?
It’s more a problem with timezones too, I always run into this problem meeting ppl to chat from china. Playing with IRC though, I see the potential :)
as for email addresses, mine is: pketh AT yahoo DOT com
You’ve got mail.

I just downloaded Colloquy (A Macosx IRC client), I figure I may as well try it out for the first time here :)
