Cleaning it a bit

That’s a really neat man-hole cover, and I really like the colors you chose for your more abstract version. It could make a nice t-shirt design!

Ruedi, gonna try like the Dottweiler too? If so I might get one this time, and even for myself ;) Really nice design, cool, keep like that R

Thanks for the kind words. But no — I wouldn’t even think of putting that on a T-shirt. The juxtaposition of the two images tells a story, makes a comment and gives credit to the original work, the manhole cover, where credit is due. This post, therefore, falls well within the Fair Use rule. My gut feeling is that a T-shirt would violate that rule because I’d be taking somebody ele’s design and claiming it as my own. Even though can’t identify it, the element at the very center of the design also looks like a company logo, and I woulnd’t want to infringe on that.

So, for the time being, I’m afraid you’ll have to get a Dottweiler Tee if you’re looking for a piece of apparel that showcases anything I created.

Yet I’ve been thinking about doing a Tawawa T-shirt. A while back, I was looking around for a company that would accept a graphics file, put the graphic on a T-shirt, and, possibly, mail it to anyone who ordered one. If you know of such a service here in Japan, please tell me about it.

Got you, will take a look at your request. Nice sunny week and enjoy the sunshine (only till Friday, though)!

Neat, thanks — and same to you!

Note to self: as expected, the shape at the centre turned out to be a logo: Toho Gas.

Really nice!
I want to set on the street actually.
