Pirates of the Caribbean
Pirates of the Caribbean is now playing in Japan, and I saw it yesterday. I liked it very much. I liked the story and especially the actor: Johnny Depp. He was really cute and sexy. Now of course the wallpaper on my computer is “Pirates of the Caribbean.”
Can you recommend any other movies coming to Japan?

Yes, we can watch ‘Lord of the Rings’ here in Japan, and I watched the first one last year. I didn’t know much about that movie before watching it. When I went to the theater, I was surprised to know that it lasts more than 2 hours! I liked it but I felt a little bit tired…
I saw the video at home last year. I was watching it with two of my friends and one had seen it. In every climax, the other asked “What happens next?” and got answers then. So, it was boring to me… Anyway I’ll see the second video alone.
By the way, I think the guy played the blacksmith in the PIRATES is in the ‘lord of the rings.’ Is that right?

The movie had to be long I think because unlike most movies based on a book, they were really trying to be faithful to original plot which about 500pages and filled w/ little details that make it good. I still remember that just 2 or so years ago if someone had mentioned the Lord of Rings, Hobbits, or Gandalf or something like that in a conversation, they would be immediately looked down on by most people as being stereotypically geeky and unsocial… times sure change
I still haven’t seen Pirates, although from what I’ve heard I really really want to see it :)
Yup, Orlando Bloom played Will Turner in PotC as well as Legalos in Lord of the Rings.

Do you guys have the ‘lord of the rings’ movies in Japan yet? There really really good and highly recommended.
The books’ that they’re based on are a really good read as well
